What an amazing day we had at Chris and Chantel’s Mangwa Valley Lodge wedding in Dinokeng. From the first time I met the couple we could hit it off, we could not stop chatting and a first meeting with the couple which usually lasts an hour ended up with me having to leave for another meeting after almost three hours. So going in I knew that we were going to have an amazing wedding day no matter what happens.
As typical for Dinokeng area in summer it was extremely hot, but storm clouds were rolling in and distant thunder could be heard from the moment I got out of my car. This is always a bit of a concern on a wedding day, as most brides greatest fear must be rain on their wedding day. Knowing Chris and Chantel, I was not concerned about the impending rain as they are such an easy going couple…and to be honest I think everyone was looking forward to some relief from the rain.
The ceremony was simply stunning and one of my favourite photographs I captured was a single tear rolling down Chantel’s face. Shortly after we hopped on a Game viewing Landrover and were off for the creative couple shoot in the bush. We managed to capture some truly amazing images just in time before being bombarded by the African thunderstorm, after seeking refuge in the chapel we ended off by capturing some beautiful images with the sunset.
As usual a selection of their day…please enjoy a look at this Mangwa Valley Lodge wedding.
