Wow, where do I begin to describe this amazing couple and their stunning wedding day. Well maybe by saying that Dean and Kate are definitely one of my favourite couples I have had the pleasure to work with. They are super easy-going people and saying that they make a photographer’s task easy is a massive understatement. They have a way of just falling into each other like some sort of magnetism making every shot just feel beautiful and uncontrived. It doesn’t hurt that they are easy on the eyes either…I mean Kate has this serene beauty and Dean don’t clean up badly either.
Anyways, after having captured their engagement session for them it was like seeing old friends again on their wedding day. The venue was the amazing Buitengeluk wedding venue situated in Broad Acres. Buitengeluk is one of those venues that just lends itself to making a wedding celebration feel like an intimate gathering of close friends and family…exactly what it should feel like in my humble opinion.
The couple had friends and loved ones arrive at their day from all corners of the planet, a testament of what they mean to those people. The one thing that caught me totally off-guard was the amazing bond that Dean and his brother share. You usually expect the standard sibling rivalry, but none of that was found there. They truly are each other’s best friend, this being evident from the start but especially as this was the only wedding I have been part of where the brother sheds more tears of joy than the groom…my hat goes off to you two, much respect to you “Okes”
I could go on to say how radiant Kate was etc. but stating the obvious is kind of …well obvious. So instead of rambling on rather see for yourselves. Here are some of my personal favourites from Kate and Dean’s day at Buitengeluk wedding venue, enjoy.
